There are presently no open calls for submissions.
- original unpublished fiction, flash fiction, nonfiction, flash nonfiction, or poetry from high school students.
(If you have any concerns regarding the word limit, please contact us!)
- fiction: maximum of 2,500 words
- flash fiction: maximum of 500 words
- nonfiction: maximum of 2,500 words
- flash nonfiction: 500 words
- poetry: maximum of 150 lines
- attached in a Microsoft Word document, Times New Roman font, size 12, double spaced (traditional MLA format)
- Include your name, email, school, and grade on your piece.
Format:
Your work will automatically be declined IF:
- the piece contains excessive vulgarity not necessary to the piece
- inappropriate content
- contains plagiarism
- exceeds word limit by 100 words
- has been previously published, in print or online
